Please try to forget any belief you have of crying not being macho or cool. This is the new millennia. If people cannot express their feelings as they are having them or soon after, they are stifling their progress. Isn’t progress macho?
What if for years someone blocked his/her feelings and the tears that accompany life’s highs and lows? In Polarity Therapy, this would mean the person has or his/her way to having a disease. An imbalance is probably present in the Water element.
Part III’s discussion on the Fire element presented the anger issue. Often behind the built-up Yang feeling of anger is the even deeper yin feeling of sadness.
Those stuck in mostly using the Yang elements of Air and Fire hide behind over thinking (Air) and being angry (Fire) to be in control. A wise soul can take the opportunity to go beyond over thinking and excessive anger to feel what is going on at deeper levels.
Physical Aspects
Blood, tears, urine and lymph represent some of your body’s rivers. When a river is cluttered with debris, it cannot easily flow. Plaque on artery walls, dark urine and congested lymph nodes signal some dams in your body’s water.
Increasing your fiber and taking flax and/or fish oil helps prevent and sometimes removes plaque built up on artery walls. Sipping water throughout the day keeps the body hydrated. Adding a pinch of sea salt and the juice of one-half lemon to your glass of water provides electrolytes. Jumping on a trampoline helps the lymphatic system release toxins and raised your heartbeat, usually within seconds.
Also, receive some bodywork. A massage helps with blood circulation and a Polarity Lymph Drainage session stimulates the cleansing action of lymph. Soreness near the ears, neck or under the arms – especially for women who wear under wire bras – are signs of possible congestion in the lymphatic system. Since the macrophages filter out foreign invaders in the lymph nodes, cleansing an overworked lymphatic system will increase your immune system and help prevent illness.
Conclusion
Fewer blockages on the physical level mean fewer blockages on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Relationships and life will be more fluid without the river’s dams. Perhaps the best benefit: keeping your rivers flowing as clearly as possible allows better contact to the big ocean of life - the connection to “all that is”.
